Everything in this blog, is part of my life style. In my free time, I love to read many genres of books, and short stories. I love how easy it is to get enveloped in the world that is painted for the reader, the emotional attachments that are built between you and the characters, and the plot twists. I love how all the elements combine with each other to create worlds that keep you invested in them, long after you finish reading.
Another part of my lifestyle is largely video games. To me, video games are playable books. In most genres (except for sandbox, simulation, and sport games), we should be put into the minds of the character we play as. Most aspects from books should be put into video games, because video games are books that we can control in one way or another.
For other genres of games, It should be built on the investment. In sandbox games, we should be able to shape the way the world looks, from building a new one, to adding on to a pre-existing world. For all games, however, it is essential that the player is kept invested in it, no matter the genre.
I am by no means a expert on these fields. I am still in school, expanding my horizons. I may not use all my effort in these, but I sure do use a lot. I do play games every Saturday, with Saturdays being one of the only times I can really explore books and play games. But one thing is true. I sure do love to read and play games, and I believe that they can be a successful lifestyle.
